Because it is located on the edge of the Xujiahui area you can find tones of large Shopping malls in close by filled with a massive variety of products, particularly technology and IT based stores. Shanghai indoor stadium is also close by in the other direction meaning you plenty of things to do during your spare time (especially if you like rock climbing). There is also a large Carrefour supermarket within a relatively short distance from the apartment that you can use for all of your general shopping, as well there being City shops supermarket that allows you to have deliveries straight to your apartment.  

 

Since the Xujiahui metro station has a such a large number of lines that run through the station it is easy to get to most of the important places in the Central city area relatively quickly including People's square, Jingan Temple, Xintiandi and even Pudong. Alternatively if you have access to a car, then you can take advantage of the underground car parking area.
